Investigation of High School Students' Internet Addiction Levels in Terms of Sports and Different Variables

This research was conducted to examine the internet addiction levels of high school students in terms of sports and different variables. The data collected from the students in the research were transferred to the SPSS program to be analyzed by making numerical coding. First of all, descriptive statistics (percentage and frequency) of the data were made. Normality test was applied to decide on the statistical analyzes to be made. In the normality test, the skewness and kurtosis values of the data were taken into account. It has been determined that the obtained values are in the range of -2/+2. These values were accepted to be in accordance with the normal distribution (George & Mallery, 2001). In the statistical analysis of the data; independent groups t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Person correlation were used. According to the findings obtained; In this study, in which the level of internet addiction in high school students was discussed, it was found that the internet addiction levels of the students showed some differences according to the demographic variables, and it was seen that the results obtained were in parallel with the literature.
